CAMBRIDGE United boss Gary Brabin has launched a scathing attack on Boro after his side knocked Graham Westley's men out of the Blue square Premier play-offs.
Speaking after his team booked their place in the play-off final by overcoming a 3-1 deficit on Monday, Brabin said both he and his squad were angered by Boro players' comments following the first leg and also criticised Boro for what he saw as unsportsmanlike behaviour.
Brabin said: "They were celebrating and already organising the Wembley trip. I think a few of their lads have done out team-talk for us with the things they said on Setanta.
"Things like that were enough for us to be wound up and respond, and I was confident because the lads were straight back into their work ethic in training.
"Stevenage were timewasting from the off and I don't think the referee helped our cause there.
"Overall I think he refereed the game well, but we wanted the tempo to be quicker and we tried to make him aware of some of their antics.
"Fair play to them, it's worked and it's got them to where they are, but I thought we had a bit more about us."
The Us face Torquay in the play-off final at Wembley on May 17.
