A PUB is calling for dog walkers and runners to join them this weekend to raise money for two life-saving charities.
On Sunday The Windmill in Charlton is hosting a seven mile dog walk in aid of The Blue Cross and a two mile fun run to support the North Herts Air Ambulance Service.
New landlord Lee Armstrong, who took over the pub nine weeks ago after moving from Warwickshire, said the pub had chosen the air ambulance as its charity of the year and hopes to build up a substantial sum over the coming months.
Both events start at 10am from the pub and all ages are welcome. There will be entertainment, a barbeque and a raffle in aid of the air ambulance later in the day.
