PETER Loach, headteacher of The Priory School, Hitchin, was left with a smile on his face after surveying this year's results.

He said: "We are as delighted as ever with the achievements of our students in their A levels and BTECs.

"Yet again, virtually all have achieved in line with or above expectations, enabling them to go on to a university or occupation of their choice. We wish every further success!

"My continuing thanks go to our excellent colleagues and parents, who together help our students to succeed so admirably."

From his successful students, Mr Loach picked out Rosie Fowler and Bethany Harriss who both achieved three A grades at A level.
