POLICE closed the A505 eastbound between Luton and Hitchin after a collision between two vehicles this afternoon.
The incident close to the Lilley junction happened at 2.15 when there was a collision between a van, towing a trailer, and a green BMW. The trailer and the BMW both overturned.
The road remains blocked and an ambulance is on the scene treating one casualty said to have minor injuries.
Police say there is heavy traffic congestion in both directions on the road as work begins to recover both vehicles.
