THE headteacher of a primary school, suspended more than three weeks ago pending a formal police investigation, is still not permitted to return to work.
Herts Police confirmed yesterday (Wednesday) that the investigation involving David Morton, headteacher at Moss Bury Primary School and Nursery in Stevenage, has concluded, but Herts County Council said Mr Morton is still suspended.
The reason for Mr Morton's suspension and the nature of the police investigation is still not clear.
* A 55-year-old man from Hitchin has been cautioned by police in relation to a common assault.
