A COUNCIL is calling on the over-50s to have their say at new forum.
North Herts district councillors want the middle-aged and above to join a new Older People's Forum to campaign against discrimination towards the older generations.
A spokesman for the council said: "It will make sure that decision makers are aware of their views and take them into account. The more over-50s who join, the more powerful its voice will be on a side range of issues."
The group is intended to be independent of the council after the initial set-up and will liaise with police, voluntary services and the Primary Care Trust.
The first meeting will be held on March 4 at 6.30pm in the Wren Room at Letchworth Arts Centre.
