A SPECIALLY adapted car used by young disabled people to travel to college, work and access entertainment in and around Hitchin has been officially presented.
Harvey Soning, chairman of The Presidents Club Charitable Trust, formally handed over the �14,000 car to Katie McBarron, care supervisor at Lavender Fields in the town, which is a transition service run by the charity Leonard Cheshire Disability.
Ten young disabled people are supported by the service to learn new skills they need to live in the community.
