POLICE investigating a shooting in Lilley have arrested a man on suspicion of conspiracy to rob.
The shooting took place on Rueley Dell Road on February 17 when it is alleged a group of three or four men entered a house and shot the occupant, 43-year-old Mick Furey in the stomach, before making off in a silver car towards Hexton.
The victim was taken to hospital in London and discharged a few days later.
The arrested man, who has yet to be named, has been released on police bail until June 8, whilst enquiries continue.
