Club to run boys teams from under-nines to under-16s
AFTER gaining promotion to the Football League, Stevenage have been granted a licence to run a Centre of Excellence for boys from under-nine to under-16 and a two year scholarship scheme for boys at under-18 level.
This means that from the start of the 2010-11 season they will run squads playing regular matches against other professional clubs such as Barnet, Leyton Orient and Peterborough in the Football League Competition.
The scheme will be headed by an experienced A Licence coach and all squad coaches will be of a minimum B Licence standard ensuring that you are provided with the best possible coaching and development program available.
Squad selection trials will be held during the week commencing June 14 so if you feel that you can play at county level or above and would like to represent Stevenage visit the club or academy website for dates and times of trials and a downloadable application form.
If you would like to become involved with a Football League Centre of Excellence coaching please send your coaching CV to Dawn Lawrence at dawn@sbfa.co.uk
