A FOOTBALL professional who spent time on loan at Stevenage FC has been found guilty of murder.
Gavin Grant, 26, who was loaned to Boro in February 2008 from Grays Athletic, shot a man in north-west London in 2004, the Old Bailey heard today (Friday).
The former Millwall, Wycombe Wanderers and Bradford City striker played for the Broadhall Way outfit a total of 14 times during his loan spell and scored seven times.
Grant, who had denied murder, is due to be sentenced on Monday.
