FIVE police cars were called to the High Street in Stevenage last night (Thursday) after a group of males were seen acting suspiciously.

The three males were seen in Albert Street at around 7pm and ran off when approached.

Police pursued the group and a 15-year-old youth from Stevenage was subsequently arrested for possession of cannabis.

After being taken to Stevenage Police Station, the teenager was reprimanded for his actions and released.
