Injury and illness making life difficult for Rovers boss Les Parry
Les Parry has said he is struggling to put 16 senior names on his teamsheet ahead of Tranmere’s match with Stevenage.
While striker Enoch Showunmi is doubtful for tomorrow’s game with an ankle problem, goalkeeper Owain Fon Williams (broken hand), centre-back Ian Goodison (hamstring), right-back David Raven (thigh) and utility man Zoumana Bakayogo (knee) are all out, according to the Wirral News.
“Hopefully we will have 16 senior players to travel with. If not we will take an apprentice from the youth squad. At the moment we are struggling for 16. We’ve not had a good season for injuries,” Parry said.
Tranmere Rovers have used just 21 players in League 1 this season - the joint lowest number alongside Hartlepool United.
