AN exhibition about plans to build a new neighbourhood, including 85 homes and a children’s play area, was held last week.
Residents were invited to have their say about plans for the land to the east of Ivel Road in Shefford during a two-day public exhibition at Shefford House on the High Street.
Design manager for developer Bovis Homes, Dan Oliver, said: “We are looking to build a sustainable, high-quality new community with a good mix of homes and amenities, such as a state-of-the-art children’s play area.”
Scott Curtis, a Bovis Homes spokesman, added: “The exhibition went very well and we received excellent feedback, which saw around 130 people coming to view the plans.
“We had representatives from Bovis Homes and the council’s planning department to discuss issues which included highways, traffic and drainage.
“We have received feedback via the dedicated website www.bovishomes.co.uk/shefford and the feedback forms at the event and will take this into account as we refine the proposals.”
