A GRADE II listed pub has had its future secured.
The Rose and Crown in High Street, Ashwell, had been put up for sale by pub chain Greene King six months ago but Classic Pub Co agreed on Monday to take out a three-year lease.
“We’re delighted,” said manager Sue Scarrott.
“The community has been very helpful, even with all our problems they’ve been coming in. We’ve been worried though as we’ve had a holding company running it for six months.”
