A major leisure complex was evacuated last night due to a fire in a store room.
Customers and staff were led to safety during the blaze at the rear of Hollywood Bowl on Stevenage Leisure Park. There were no injuries.
Three fire crews were called to the scene shortly before 7pm.
Stevenage commander Tony Robinson said the fire was quickly extinguished, “preventing further damage and ensuring (the) safety of evacuated customers”.
Herts Fire Service said the cause of the fire was accidental.
