MEET the Conservative candidate, Jas Parmar.
Background: Mr Parmar is a former police officer and member of Bedford Borough Council, who stood as a candidate in Warley in the 2010 general election. He runs his own business in Bedford.
Pledges: Cutting crime with greater emphasis on anti-social behaviour, engaging with the public, better support for victims of crime and ensuring better value for money.
He said: “I believe the candidate should not only have strong local ties but also be someone who brings a wealth of experience in policing, business and public engagement. I am confident I have all of these qualities which is why I am standing.”
