STAFF at a hotel have slept on the job to raise funds for their chosen charity.
Employees at the Premier Inn in Six Hills Way, Stevenage, took part in a 24-hour sleep in at the hotel’s reception in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Their efforts raised 500 for the children’s hospital in London thanks to donations from fellow staff members and customers.
Receptionist Carmel Austin said: “It was great fun, seeing all those people walking in and being greeted by a massive bed at reception.
“I only had a few hours sleep, but it was worth it. We put in two extra hours as we were so close to our 500 target and we made it in the end.
“We would like to thank all those that supported us, including our team mates who kept on encouraging us and our customers too for their generous donations.”
