Why bin it if you can wear it? That’s the question asked by pupils from Letchworth’s St Christopher Schoo with a recycled fashion exhibition at the town’s art centre.
The display, which runs for another week, demonstrates how to create glamour and excitement from unpromising recycled material.
Everything on display is wearable, and a fashion show at the school ahead of the exhibition raised funds for the Lister Hospital’s Magic Of Play appeal.
The exhibition theme is 100 Years, to tie in with the Barrington Road school’s continuing centenary celebrations.
A very different exhibition fills Letchworth Arts Centre’s other two galleries through to the end of this month.
Spirit of the Earth brings together images and words, combining the original hand-pulled prints of established print maker Kim Major-George with connecting poems by the contemporary poet Steve Thorp.
