One of his first big hits was called Ben – and now nearly six years after his untimely death that’s the name of a performer who makes sure that the magic of Michael Jackson will never die.

Ben Bowman is the standout star of the touring Jackson Live in Concert show which will be moonwalking its way on to the stage at Stevenage’s Gordon Craig Theatre on Sunday, June 21.

There are almost as many Jacko tribute artists as there are Elvis Presleys rocking the circuit, but Ben’s claim to fame is that he performs completely live to capture the essence and the magic of one of the biggest-selling artists of the last half century.

Ben portrays the ill-fated star with incredible accuracy and it’s no surprise to learn that the man in the middle of this engrossing show is a long-time fan of the King of Pop, who made his professional debut as part of the Jackson Five when he was only eight years old and continued to write and perform until his death in 2009.

His private life was dogged by controversy and tragedy, but nobody ever denied that MJ wasn’t the boss when it came to pumping out iconic hits like Thriller and Off The Wall.

Tickets for the show, which starts at 7.45pm, are £21 – find out more online at www.gordon-craig.co.uk or call the box office on 01438 363200.
