Laughs are coming thick and fast this weekend across North Herts.

The scholarly and sardonic John Gordillo will be joined by rising Scottish star Neil McFarlane at this month’s Lastminute Comedy sessions.

They’re appearing at The Orange Tree in Baldock on Thursday and then shifting the show to Hitchin’s Woodside Hall on Friday, with compere Paul B. Edwards linking it all together as usual.

Shows start at 8.30pm, tickets are £10 with members getting a £2 discount.

Saturday sees Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee Dane Baptiste topping the bill at the Jesterlarf comedy night at Stevenage’s Gordon Craig Theatre.

Alternative cabaret turn George Egg is also on the bill, with further support from Lou Sanders and the bill being helmed by Kiwi comic TJ McDonald. Tickets are £12.50 with the show starting at 8.30pm. Find out more and book tickets online at www.jesterlarf.co.uk.

Back in Hitchin, tickets are going fast for the appearance of magician and entertainer Paul Daniels – described by awestruck Mostly Comedy insiders as the most famous name ever to grace its Market Theatre studio sessions – on Thursday, November 19. Aussie comic Bec Hill will be providing support on the night – tickets are £12 with the comedy kicking off at the Sun Street venue at 9pm.
