Farr Festival 2018 will take place in Bygrave Woods in the Hertfordshire countryside between Baldock and Royston from Thursday, July 5 to Sunday July 8.

And for the first time in its history, the festival has added an extra day of programming for the Sunday, with a potent line-up of dub, reggae, minimal and disco.

New acts added to the Farr roster include Hunee, Antal, Zip, Dan Shake, Interstellar Funk, Digby, Lallya Dane, Jay Glass Dubs live, Bokeh Edwards and more.

They join the already announced Mount Kimbie, Tom Misch, Daphni, Maribou State, Dixon, George Fitzgerald, Kelly Lee Owens, Mr G live, Lena Willikens, Benji B, Optimo B2B Young Marco, Shy FX, DJ Richard and more on the poster.

Soundtracked by some of the most inspiring and creative artists from across the global electronic music spectrum, Sunday’s programming will conclude the magical four-day weekender and will mark an exciting new development for Farr Festival.

Adding artisan food and drink, holistic activities including workshops, yoga and meditation, plus hot tubs, talks and cocktail workshops, the ninth edition of Farr Festival offers an extended weekend of music, arts, wellness and lots of fun this summer.

Of the festival’s latest additions, Hunee is one of the most in-demand selectors in the world, weaving together everything from house and disco via soul, funk and further exotic escapades.

He will be joined by Rush Hour head honcho Antal, who will be serving up a masterclass of house, techno, rare Afro funk, forgotten disco and everything in between.

Dan Shake is well known as the first non-Detroiter to ever see release on Moodymann’s Mahogani Music imprint.

Whether its through his expertise behind the decks or his mood lifting, hard pounding productions, energy is certain in his presence.

Next up is Amsterdam-based regular Interstellar Funk. Having recently launched his own imprint, he continuously deploys his unique digging-and-assembling savoir faire via the most demanding of dance floors.

Over in the woods, Perlon co-founder Zip, aka Thomas Franzmann, will play an extended four-hour set, offering minimal shifts within the 4/4 sphere.

Revered analogue producer Digby drops in with a rare appearance and rising star Laylla Dane joins in on the fun, serving up an eclectic and groove-ridden sound.

Debuting at Farr Festival for the first time, Bristol-based imprint Bokeh Versions are poised to explore the outer fringes of dub with a hypnotic live set from Athens native Jay Glass Dubs and DJ set from label boss Bokeh Edwards.

Bristol staple and Bokeh newcomer Sunun will play live, incorporating a hand harp, drums and ancient rhythms, all fed through her mixing desk to achieve a ghostly and ethereal dubplate sound.

Meanwhile, Peng Sound affiliates Wilfy Rootikal and MC Rankin Snoopy promise to inject carnival vibes throughout.

Flux resident Archie takes things deeper, whilst Wallauer aims to weave together Afro, disco and techno.

Pool Tax will explore everything from slow psychedelic disco to gnarled electro.

Finally Balamii residents Puma Blue, Sean OD and Will Lister complete Sunday’s programming.

Further to Sunday’s announcement, organisers also welcome long-time Phonica Records stalwart and Meda Fury label boss Nick Williams to the Campfire Headphase stage.

Whities affiliate Martin Josef joins the stage for some oddball electronics, whilst prolific Emotional Response kingpin Chuggy steps up for a three-hour DJ set spanning ambient, new wave, post-punk, disco and house.

Farr Festival will also feature a debut in the form of a live reel-to-reel tape set from Ramjac Corporation.

One of the UK’s unsung electronic pioneers, he’s known for his live shows during the heady days of the Summer of Love in 1988.

Having performed on tour with Orbital, expect to be cast back to the halcyon sounds of acid house, breakbeat, jungle and dub, all soundtracked through Ramjac’s own flavour of sampled beats from his Atari, Emulator and dual reel-to-reel tape recorders.
