Known for her eccentric and retro style, the London singer-songwriter was confirmed for Standon Calling 2018 this morning (Monday) in the festival’s second line-up announcement.

Paloma Faith topped the UK album charts for the first time last year with her fourth studio release, The Architect, featuring singles Crybaby and Guilty.

She appeared on the Graham Norton Show last Friday alongside Mission: Impossible 6 stars Tom Cruise and Essendon-based actor Simon Pegg, performing new single Til I’m Done.

The kooky pop diva first played Standon Calling almost a decade ago before she hit the big time.

Since then she’s won a BRIT Award in 2015, and is again nominated this year in the ‘British Female Solo Artist’ category.

The former The Voice UK judge will headline the 2018 Standon festival alongside Hertfordshire-born George Ezra, who was also announced today, and Roxy Music legend Bryan Ferry.

Combining showbiz, laughter and soaring anthems, Paloma Faith is one of the nation’s biggest pop stars.

She has become a British institution, unafraid to speak out and thriving with individuality, and is the perfect headliner to kick-off the weekend at Standon Calling.

Founder and festival director Alex Trenchard said: “Brilliantly, Paloma Faith returns to Standon – nearly a decade on – as an international star and household name with her spectacular focus on performance.”

Now in its 13th year, Standon Calling 2018 will take place at Standon Lordship in the Hertfordshire countryside near Ware from Thursday, July 26 to Sunday, July 29.

Alongside main stage headliners Paloma Faith, George Ezra and Bryan Ferry, there’s an eclectic array of groundbreaking and celebrated names announced including Goldfrapp, The Horrors, Django Django, Maribou State, Little Simz, Tokio Myers, Marmozets, The Amazons, Pale Waves, Shame, Ibibio Sound Machine and many more.

With the very best in London street food vendors serving mouth-watering food and drink, family fun with Horrible Histories Live and CBeebies favourite Andy & The Odd Socks, the renowned Standon Calling dog show, the outdoor swimming pool, late-night parties with Ultimate Power and Club De Fromage amongst others, Standon Calling is set to deliver the ultimate family festival experience this summer.
