May 11, Barbara Allison welcomed members and a minutes silence was held in memory of a much valued and loved member Ann Fuchs who died recently. Tracey Jackson, a local polie community support officer, then gave a short talk on the work she and her colleagues do and gave the members advice on personal and home security. The next Art and Crafts Meeting will be on May 31 at Joan Armstong's. The Orange Reading Group next meets at Sonia Hargreaves home on May 24 and the Lunch Club meet at the Angel's Reply on May 17. Evening walks have now started - meet at the Angel's Reply at 7pm each Wednesday. Next month's competition will be a flower. Margaret Martin won the birthday flowers and special birthday flowers were presented to Barbara Boxall. Next months meeting will be on June 8 and the speaker is from Waitrose.
