At last Saturday's social evening over 70 members helped Rose Bidnell celebrate her 60th birthday. The members bought her a piano accordion, with which she surprised everyone by playing happy birthday on. A special poem was written by Harry Mason which was typed and framed by Bridie. Her sister Kath made a lovely cake and the members supplied a wonderful buffet. A raffle was held and the proceeds of £130 will be sent to Keech Cottage Children's Hospice, which brings the total raised up to £12,065. Classes suitable for everyone from beginners to advanced are held every week in Shefford and Clifton, for more information telephone Rosemarie on 01767 600268.
