On March 11, at 7:30pm Hertfordshire Philharmonia will be playing at St George's Church, in a concert to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of the composer Elizabeth Poston, who lived in the Stevenage area, and will feature works by some of her contemporaries. The music will be Holst's Perfect Fool, Vaughan Williams' tuba concerto played by Mark McKrell), the suite from Walton's film score for Henry V, and Walton's first symphony, conducted by Mark Forkgen. Thanks to sponsorship from the English Heritage Lottery Fund, tickets for this concert will be £6 for adults and £3 for children.
