Curves of Hitchin and Stevenage will be participating in the Curves Food drive to collect food for Stevenage Women's refuge. Last year, the Curves Food Drive collected 10.6 million pounds of food for local communities all over the world, that's almost 3 million more pounds than the year before! To celebrate the generosity of the community, Curves is waiving its normal service fee for any new member who brings in a bag of non-perishable groceries and joins between February 27 and March 11. Others wishing to donate may drop off non-perishable food items at Curves Monday through Saturday during business hours from February 27 to March 11. Friday, March 17: 7 for 7.30 pm Citizens Advice Bureau are holding a fund-raising event, The Dave Michaelson quiz night, at Stevenage Cricket Ground Social Club, Ditchmore Lane. Tickets are £5 per person and teams of up to 8 people are welcome. Bar drinks and a raffle will be available, please feel free to bring your own nibbles and snacks. Proceeds to Stevenage CAB.
