PEOPLE lined the streets to pay their respects to a well-loved shopkeeper this week, after nearly 20 years serving the community of Letchworth GC.
Chundalal Chandarana, affectionately known to friends and family as Chan, died suddenly from a heart attack aged 55.
Chan ran The Grange Wine Store on the Grange Estate and was a popular face in the shop parade.
His son Hitesh, 26, said: "He was a great man and I haven't got enough words to describe how wonderful he was.
"He was loved and will be missed by everyone in the community.
"I will be looking after the business now with my brother Monty.
"This shop was his second home, the customers were his friends.
"Loads of people were at the funeral and on behalf of the Chandarana family I'd like to thank all the friends (many of which who were also customers) and family for their support.
"I want everyone to remember him.
