A NEW youth shelter designed to give young people a safe and secure place to meet has been oficially opened.
The shelter on Radburn Way, Letchworth GC, cost £7,000 and includes a kick board designed to counter anti-social behaviour and provide a purpose-built alternative for youngsters who kick balls against the metal shutters in Ivel Court, Letchworth.
The project has been funded by North Hertfordshire District Council, Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation, Letchworth Garden City Town Council and Hertfordshire Police.
