A BOGUS caller masquerading as an RSPCA collector has been targeting Langford locals.
Trading Standards officers from Bedfordshire County Council have asked residents to watch out for the man who has been knocking on doors and requesting donations.
The RSPCA has confirmed that the man is not one of their own as their scheme finished at the start of November.
Official charity collectors also carry photo IDs, wear a blue tabard over their clothes and leave forms rather than ask for cash or direct debit details on the spot.
The man is described as approximately 25 years of age, black, and clean shaven. He wears a dark coloured jacket with RSPCA embroidered in gold on the breast pocket.
If residents have been or are visited by this man they should contact the Bogus Caller Hotline on 08454 040 506.
