Rhythms of The World (RoTW) is gearing up for what is expected to be its biggest and best year yet.
Over 190 acts from all over the world have been lined up to play on 11 stages across Hitchin during the weekend of July 15 and 16.
The organisers have also announced that one of the stages will be at Hitchin Town Football Club which has agreed to take part in the town-wide festival.
Among the acts performing are DJ/Producer DJ VK, singer/songwriter Ava Silvera, indie-poppers Amanaboutadog, one man band Joe Driscoll, six piece reggae/blues band Lionheart and acoustic duo Underdog.
A detailed list of all the acts can be seen on the RoTW website.
There are plenty of other events for people to enjoy including a variety of street art projects, some of which are collaborations between artists and schools.
There is also the RoTW Family Area at Bancroft Gardens which will include a puppeteer and The Music Train, a walk-in stall where children can make their own instruments.
RoTW has also been working hard to organise a variety of fringe events with the help of local organisations. One such event is a Victorian musical instrument workshop to be held by Richard and Elizabeth York at Hitchin Museum.
The festival programme will be on sale at the beginning of July for £1 at venues all across Hitchin including Sir John Barleycorn, Molly Malone's and The Hair Shop.
