With another winter just around the corner, North Herts District Council, Hertfordshire Fire Service and Age Concern have teamed up to hold an initiative for the over-60s. Take along your electric blankets for testing to The Settlement, Nevells Road, on Thursday, September 14, between 10am and 4pm. All unsafe blankets will be replaced free of charge with a new one. There will also be health awareness stalls and talks throughout the day. To book an appointment for blanket testing contact Age Concern on 01462 420911.
