THERE was a big increase in top grades for GCSE students at St Christopher School in Letchworth GC.
Head Donald Wilkinson was delighted that the school recorded its highest percentage ever of grades A* and A.
In total, 45 per cent of all GCSE exams taken resulted in grade A* or A being awarded.
"We are particularly pleased that so many of our students have achieved at the highest level," said Mr Wilkinson.
Twenty-three students ended up with five or more grades A* or A.
Isa Higginson and Oscar Hudson came out with seven grades A* and Jenny Woollard six A*s.
Anthony Barnard, Meghan Belcher, William Bly, James Bolter, Josh Knight, Tom Smith, Shun Sugimoto and Aaron Wilson all achieved five A*s.
