PLANS by a Town Centre Partnership include sharing another town's manager.
Baldock Town Centre Partnership, which represents business and social groups in the town, has decided it needs a town centre manager.
And its first point of call is Geraint Burnell, the town centre manager at Royston. It wants him to work for two days a week in Baldock, possibly from an office in the town hall.
Cllr Michael Muir said: "He's got to promote the town and find money to keep on promoting the town and to help pay for his wage.
"He's a man of experience. We're not wasting money by employing somebody who can learn on the job."
Mr Burnell said: "I have spoken with the Town Centre Partnership a number of times in an advisory capacity and there has been a discussion about the possibility, but we haven't got that far yet.
