THREE schools from the same town have been presented with awards for helping to point their pupils on the right career path.
Both Hitchin Boys' and Hitchin Girls' Schools, in addition to The Priory, have been presented with the Connexions Quality Award for providing excellent careers education and guidance teaching.
Connexions are the Government's support service for teenagers in England and the award confirms that young people at the three schools are taught to recognise and celebrate their strengths, skills and achievements.
With the three schools receiving the accolade, Hitchin has become the first town in Hertfordshire to have all its secondary schools achieve the award.
