To see that more hedge laying is taking place, this time outside the Strathmore Arms Public House at St. Paul's Walden. The length that was done last year outside the entrance to the Bury has had its first trim by the mechanical hedge trimmer and is looking good. In a year or twos time it will require some treatment by hand. It already forms a good barrier between field and road but why is there no ditch? These seem essential to road and field drainage no wonder we see so many flooded roads!
