FANCY footwork met fancy dress when teams lined up for a charity football tournament.
More than 80 players took part in the event at the Stevenage Boro Academy at Shephalbury on April Fools Day.
The competition was held in memory of a 25-year-old man who died from complications linked to kidney failure and raised almost £3,500 for the renal unit at Lister Hospital.
Lee Haynes, who lived in Letchworth GC and was a drummer with local band Audio Justice, died in May 2005.
Teams of Superheroes and a Bavarian band were among the 16 teams of men, women and children who took part.
One of the players, Mick Cox, said: "We decided to do something to remember Lee by. It was April Fools Day so we decided to do something a bit different.
"Before we knew it there were 16 teams and 14 turned up in fancy dress, which was optional. Everyone had a good laugh."
Each team paid £30 to enter the competition and, in the evening, there was an auction and a raffle at the Arena Tavern, on Arena Parade, Letchworth GC.
