AN ARTIST from Comet country has been signed by one of the largest fine arts publishers in the world, and her limited edition print range is currently being launched.
Sarah Graham, of Cadwell Lane in Hitchin, is a photorealist artist who works with oil on canvas.
Her work is currently displayed in galleries up and down the country, at places including Harrods. Sarah attended Hitchin Girls' School, and went on to do an art foundation course at North Hertfordshire College before going on to university.
The 30-year-old said: "I feel very proud of my Hitchin roots".
She added: "As soon as I could hold a pencil I was interested in art. It has always been my thing.
"I have been painting my whole life, and I started selling my work when I was still studying.
"My art career has really taken off. I've been a full-time artist since I graduated in 2000, but I've recently been signed by Washington Green. They represent artists' editions by Salvador Dali and, until recently, represented Rolf Harris."
Sarah's father, who died from cancer last year, had always supported her talent and ambition. She said: "My dad bought me my first oil set when I was eight. I miss him terribly, especially now, as it was his encouragement that got me where I am."
She added: "The launch of my print range is taking place at the moment, so an awful lot of marketing and publicity is taking place across the UK."
It includes an appearance at The Yellow Art Room, on Hitchin's High Street on May 31, and ends at Harrods on June 7.
