Police are appealing for information and witnesses after an 18-year-old man was assaulted in Stevenage.

An 18-year-old man was attacked by a group of men in the Millennium Gardens area of King George V Playing Fields off Sish Lane at around 4.30pm on Friday (June 29).

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment.

Detective Inspector Vickie Coleman said: “We are continuing to work to establish the exact circumstances surrounding this incident. I’m appealing for anyone who may have been in the area around the time stated and may have seen what happened or saw the offenders in the area to contact me.”
