An 11-year-old boy has been assaulted in Bancroft in Hitchin.
An 11-year-old boy has been assaulted in Bancroft in Hitchin.
The unprovoked attack happened at around 12.50pm on Sunday, November 13.
The victim was walking through the park when he was approached by three unknown teenage boys.
The group followed the victim to the rear of the park, by the bridge leading onto Whinbush Road, where they assaulted him by punching him in the face and kicking him.
Anyone who witnessed the incident, or has information about what happened, is asked to contact police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference G1/16/2868.
