A FUNDRAISING dinner raised a whopping £10,000 for earthquake relief.
More than 300 people attended the event at Hitchin Town Hall.
There were two hours of entertainment and an auction which included a shirt signed by the entire Pakistani cricket team.
Stevenage mayor Brian Underwood handed out raffle prizes to the winners.
A spokesman for the organisers of the event said: "Already 20 winterised shelters capable of housing a family of six each have been built in the town of Garhi Habibullah by previously collected donations.
"The money raised from the dinner is earmarked to provide more shelter units, as well as a water purification plant for the town."
