Two women hospitalised after car collision

TWO women have been hospitalised after their car collided with a stationary vehicle near Hitchin this morning.

The East of England Ambulance Service were called from Letchworth to the east bound carriageway between Offley and Hitchin at 9.44am after reports of two vehicles in collision.

It is believed that the car travelling towards Hitchin collided with a stationary vehicle broken down on the side of the road, which was empty at the time of the collision.

Two people received slight injuries, and following treatment by paramedics, were taken to Lister Hospital.
