The tree came down at about 1.30pm in Highbury Road, with a branch smashing a window of a house on the other side of the street.

A police spokeswoman said at 2.05pm: “Officers are currently at the scene assisting with road closures so that the tree can be removed as quickly as possible.

“The road is currently closed at both ends and motorists are advised to find an alternative route where possible.”
