Police still on the scene after car collides with pedestrian in Stevenage

A woman has been injured after being hit by a car which left the road in Stevenage this afternoon.

At 1.30pm a Vauxhall Corsa mounted the pavement on Chells Way and collided with the pedestrian.

Ambulance crews attended the scene to treat the casualty.

The crash took place in the area between Pankhurst Crescent and Barham Road.

Road closures were put in place on Chells Way and a section of Six Hills Way following the crash, and police are still at the scene.
