Martins Way in Stevenage has re-opened following an earlier closure by police.

The major road was closed along with the nearby Hitchin Road area due to concerns for the welfare of a woman.

The road was closed in both directions on the stretch from the roundabout linking the road to Canterbury Way and Grace Way and the roundabout for Hitchin Road and Gunnels Wood Road, but not has fully re-opened.
