There are long delays on the A602 Stevenage Road after a car caught fire this morning.

The emergency services were made aware that a vehicle was on fire at 6.15am this morning.

Herts police and fire crews attended, with firefighters extinguishing the car fire and officers recovering the vehicle and clearing the carriageway at 9am.

No injuries were reported after the incident.

Traffic remains heavier than usual in the area.
