A man and woman were treated at the scene


A HORSE was killed and two people injured in a road traffic collision yesterday morning (Monday).

It is thought the horse escaped from a field and onto the Bedford Road between Holwell and Lower Stondon into the side of an oncoming car.

The emergency services were called at 11.30am and paramedics treated a man and a woman for slight injuries at the roadside.

The horse died at the scene.
