A 76-year-old Letchworth man has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after a two-vehicle crash in a Hitchin car park.

At around 11.15am on Saturday, April 20, a blue Honda Jazz hit a blue Hyundai i10 in the Iceland car park on Biggin Lane.

No one was injured, but one of the drivers was arrested and later released under investigation.

PC Chris Brown, investigating, said: “It was a busy market day and we suspect there are a number of people who saw the collision and the events leading up to it.”

If you have any information, contact PC Brown on chris.brown@herts.pnn.police.uk, call the non-emergency number 101 quoting ISR 228 of April 20, or report online at herts.police.uk/Report.
