Man in critical condition after car and motorbike in head-on crash in Stevenage

A man has been airlifted to hospital after a head-on crash in Stevenage late this afternoon.

A car and a motorcycle were involved in the collision at the junction of Broadwater Crescent and Oaks Cross at around 5pm today (Saturday, March 23).

The motorcyclist has been taken by air ambulance to a London hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.

The motorcyclist’s immediate family are aware and are being supported by police officers.

The two occupants of the car are suffering from shock.

Police are asking for any witnesses who have not already spoken to them at the scene, to get in touch on the phone via 101 quoting incident number 583 of March 23.
