The A1 is now open again in both directions near Biggleswade after an overturned lorry caused it to be closed northbound for hours.

Highways England closed the northbound carriageway between Junction 10 for Baldock Services and the Biggleswade north roundabout at about 9.20am to allow for clearance of the lorry after it crashed at the Biggleswade south junction shortly before 6am.

Diversions were in place at Junction 10 – directing motorists to the A507 – and at the Langford turn near Biggleswade.

Police, paramedics and fire crews all attended the scene after the crash, with ambulance personnel treating a person for minor injuries at the scene.
