Air ambulance lands in Stevenage after motorcycle crash

An air ambulance has landed in Stevenage after a crash involving a motorcyclist and a car this afternoon.

Emergency services were alerted at about 4.50pm to the crash, which occured in Lonsdale Road at the junction with Webb Rise – where an air ambulance has landed to assist.

A police spokeswoman told the Comet: “Officers are currently in attendance and a road closure has been put in place to allow emergency services to work at the scene. An air ambulance has landed nearby.

“Both motorists and pedestrians are advised to avoid the area currently and are thanked for their patience.”

At this stage no information has been released about any injuries sustained in the collision.
